Goffstown lost their 2nd game of the season to Manchester West 6 to 2 in 7 innings as Piscataquog Park in Manchester on Friday. The usually loud Grizzlies bats were silenced by a dominant pitching performance by West pitcher Pare who threw 6 and 1/3 innings allowing 2 runs on 3 hits while walking 2 and striking out 8 to earn the win for the Blue Knights. Jake Bliven hammered a long double to right field in the 7th to bring home the 2nd run of the game for Goffstown and Ben Dodge reached base twice in the game and added 3 stolen bases which was about all of the offense Goffstown could muster. Goffstown was plagued by 4 defensive errors which helped propel West to score their 6 runs, only 2 of which were earned. Sebastian Beal threw the first 5 innings for Goffstown allowing 4 runs (1 earned) on 5 hits, walking 3 and striking out 5. Kyle Dubois pitched the 6th inning allowing 2 runs (1 earned) on 2 hits and 3 walks while striking out 1.
